Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to safe and sustainable mining operations through geotechnical monitoring, analysis, and risk management across mining assets.
  • •Conduct field inspections of pit walls, development areas, and waste dumps to identify, assess, and communicate geotechnical hazards.
  • •Collect, validate, and interpret geotechnical data to support slope design conformance, stability assessments, and operational decisions.
  • •Review and analyze geotechnical monitoring and instrumentation data, identifying trends and escalating potential risks.
  • •Prepare technical reports and communicate geotechnical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, with eligibility to register as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
  • •Valid driver’s licence and ability to work in an outdoor mining environment in varying weather conditions.
  • •Demonstrated ability to analyse technical data, solve problems, and communicate findings effectively in English.
  • •Willingness to work a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off FIFO roster based in Labrador City.
