Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake safety engineering (Safety In Design, System Safety, Product Safety) including hazard identification, assessment, and mitigation.
  • •Develop and update safety engineering artefacts such as safety program plans, hazard analysis reports, hazard logs, and safety case reports.
  • •Support product delivery teams with safety engineering solutions and recommendations on applying safety engineering methodology.
  • •Act as a point of contact for safety engineering activities, providing technical advice and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • •Manage problem reports, variances (waivers and deviations), engineering changes, and develop and maintain product safety risk assessments.

Key Requirements

  • •Safety engineering experience or engineering/manufacturing experience with knowledge of safety engineering.
  • •A relevant engineering or manufacturing/trade qualification.
  • •Knowledge of the engineering systems development lifecycle and awareness of safety engineering standards.
  • •Good communication and interpersonal skills to develop effective stakeholder relationships.
  • •Strong problem-solving skills and ability to produce effective technical reports.
