Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide scientific and technical food safety support to US and Canadian business partners, evaluating suppliers/external manufacturers and communicating food safety risks.
  • •Validate HACCP preventive controls and assess the validity of data obtained by others.
  • •Partner with Product Development/R&D to design food safety/quality controls, DSA, and validate cooking instructions and product risk evaluations.
  • •Establish food safety specifications for ingredients and ensure compliance through cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Supplier food safety, and procurement.
  • •Design and complete challenge, shelf-life, and validation studies; update/maintain CCP models; and validate microbiological test methods for the Laboratory network.
