Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform certified DOT inspections and preventative maintenance, and complete follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a shop environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair trailer systems including aluminum and chem-lite, trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps and engines, liftgates, brake chambers, and trailer steering systems.
  • •Manage concurrent assigned tasks by prioritizing work, making effective judgments on time allocation and next steps.
  • •Determine parts required for each job, coordinate with the Shop Parts Department, and support service writer/customer needs.
  • •Document work and upload photos on Repair Orders using company-issued devices and/or Karmak application, including completing DOT forms and other documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 5+ years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as 3+ years with additional certifications).
  • •Provide a set of hand tools necessary for the job.
  • •Complete all-in company required training.
  • •Be at least 21 years old due to interstate operating authority commerce regulations.
  • •Have required certifications or obtain within 18 months (ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609), plus a CDL-A license.
