Key Responsibilities

  • •Build the orchestration layer across LabOS for experiment scheduling, execution, data capture, and results processing.
  • •Create interfaces and APIs to give scientists and AI agents real-time visibility into what’s happening in the lab.
  • •Build AI agents and tooling to automate decisions across the experiment lifecycle, from protocol design to troubleshooting.
  • •Convert proprietary hardware into API-controllable devices that agents and software can operate programmatically.
  • •Design scheduling systems coordinating dozens of lab instruments with complex dependency chains.

Key Requirements

  • •Full-stack production experience working across the stack; TypeScript, React, Node, and Postgres are used.
  • •Have shipped product with product instinct—watch users, iterate, and ship again.
  • •Comfortable in ambiguity: start from a goal, scope problems, decide what to build and skip, and write your own plan.
  • •Use AI tools heavily, with enough experience to know what good looks like.
  • •Curious about biology; no background required, but excitement for running experiments in the physical world.
