Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with lithography, process integration, measurement, and PDK engineers to establish qubit processes, design rules, and qubit/readout standard cell designs.
  • •Create qubit process files, qubit level models, and extraction capability using TCAD/PDK engineering inputs and design tool vendors.
  • •Develop design automation and automated place-and-route flows for qubit routing, including AI/ML routing optimization and routing generation for large-scale quantum processors.
  • •Drive signal integrity analysis to define routing strategies and optimize signal integrity and crosstalk; help define and release customized PDKs and signal extraction capability.
  • •Execute qubit processor design from PDK implementation through tapeout and fab NPI, performing DRC/LVS/Extraction validations and collaborating on interposer interfaces and external customer quantum PDK implementation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, Master's with 3 years, or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Cryogenic Engineering, Quantum Technologies, Quantum Engineering, or related engineering field.
  • •1+ years with electromagnetic (EM) modeling/simulation tools for signal integrity and crosstalk analysis for high-speed/high-density on-chip/on-package interconnect.
  • •1+ years with standard cell design and design automation flow implementation (SKILL, VSR, MSOA or equivalent) plus universal process file models and extraction.
  • •Experience with digital design tools and APR routing, including scripting/configuring APR tools with TCL.
  • •Experience designing and taping out on a mainstream foundry process PDK and running DRC/ERC/LVS/PEX validations, plus implementing PDK collateral and design flows.
