Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to adults, children, and youth of service members with assessment, brief counseling, and follow-up.
  • •Deliver trainings and health/wellness presentations and participate in base/installation activities.
  • •Engage with DoDEA and community schools, youth programs, and summer camps to support MFLC services and provide parent guidance.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily via smartphone or web application, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of reporting.
  • •Collaborate with installation POC and military branches to deliver services within scope and meet installation needs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 59,922 - 100,280 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field, or social work
  • •Must be licensed at an independent practice level in Rhode Island (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT)
  • •Ability to cover assignments of varying length from weekends to two weeks on short notice
  • •Fluency in English and ability to work with military personnel, spouses and children
  • •Ability to engage quickly with service members and families and to adapt to various work environments (military installations, DoDEA schools, community schools)
