Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and support settlement negotiations in complex product liability, mass tort, toxic tort, and consumer product litigation matters.
  • •Develop settlement structures and eligibility criteria for large-scale settlements.
  • •Serve as primary legal and operations lead to ensure settlements are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • •Draft, review, and finalize settlement-related documents and resolve claimant disputes or appeals with plaintiffs’ counsel.
  • •Manage teams reviewing and categorizing incoming claims and oversee settlement implementation, claims administration, data analysis, workflow, and quality assurance.

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • •Be active and in good standing with the local state Bar, or eligible to waive in.
  • •Minimum of 8 years of significant and substantive practice focused on mass torts in the drug, medical device, and/or consumer products areas, including at least three years of law firm litigation practice.
  • •Claims resolution experience, preferably in pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or consumer health/consumer-facing products.
  • •Experience drafting, reviewing, and/or negotiating settlement documents with strong contracting principles and detail-oriented management of multiple teams and work streams.
