Job Summary

Build and ship core features of the Plaud App with a focus on functionality, performance, reliability, and user experience. You’ll design software–hardware connectivity and optimize data transmission between mobile apps and physical devices, including firmware and backend integrations. Collaborate across hardware, firmware, product, and design teams, driving end-to-end ownership while improving code quality and long-term maintainability with AI-assisted engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop core Plaud App features focused on functionality, performance, reliability, and user experience using AI-assisted tools.
•Build, maintain, and optimize software–hardware connectivity and data transmission flows between mobile apps and physical devices for robustness and scalability.
•Implement and optimize data interactions across the mobile app, hardware devices, firmware, and backend systems to improve stability and performance.
•Collaborate with hardware, firmware, backend, product, and design teams to deliver end-to-end features and ensure seamless system integration.
•Contribute to technical design, code quality, and long-term maintainability while exploring AI-driven engineering practices to improve productivity.

Key Requirements

•Solid experience in mobile application development with strong coding fundamentals and system design capabilities across complex feature areas.
•Experience building mobile apps on iOS, Android, or Flutter-based cross-platform solutions, with knowledge of platform-specific constraints and best practices.
•Proven experience building and maintaining software–hardware connectivity and data interaction layers such as BLE, Wi-Fi, and custom device communication protocols.
•Ability to debug, optimize, and maintain complex multi-component systems across mobile apps, devices, firmware, and backend services.
•Collaborative, end-to-end ownership mindset with proactive use of AI technologies and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and delivery velocity.
