Key Responsibilities

  • •Independently lead strategic customer engagements across target setting, decarbonization (Scopes 1–3), environmental impact management, and voluntary/regulatory reporting.
  • •Build sustainability intelligence by staying ahead of emerging frameworks, regulations, and market developments, and translating changes into actionable guidance.
  • •Help develop new products and services by identifying emerging sustainability needs across topics and industries and prototyping new ways to create value.
  • •Shape Watershed’s expertise and point of view through thought leadership, customer-facing materials, and internal enablement.
  • •Work closely with customers to develop practical sustainability strategies and business cases throughout their journey.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of professional experience, including at least 4 years at a consulting firm in client-facing roles and at least 4 years working in sustainability.
  • •Deep expertise in corporate decarbonization and familiarity with key climate frameworks, including GHG Protocol, PCAF, SBTi, ISO standards, and reporting/regulatory frameworks such as CSRD, LSRS, CCDAA, ASRS, ISSB, and CDP.
  • •Ability to think clearly about complex problems and work confidently with data in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting analyses and recommendations to C-suite audiences.
  • •A track record of driving strategic initiatives in complex organizations by influencing decision-making across internal and external stakeholders.
