Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform NAVAID antenna and component repair and overhaul.
  • •Troubleshoot and repair rotary joints and drive motors; test and repair circuit boards.
  • •Assemble, repair, and install electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, components, and modifications, including NAS and inter-agency systems.
  • •Support preventive and corrective maintenance on FAA and interagency systems, including basic troubleshooting and fault isolation of electronic/electro-mechanical systems.
  • •Perform installation, maintenance, and structural inspection work on towers at heights over 50 feet (and up to 750 feet), including corrosion control and equipment operation; enter time into DCRS and prepare assets for shipment.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate degree in electrical or engineering technology and completion of formal technical training courses (required for level II).
  • •Practical experience in an engineering technician support position, including troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • •Assisting in developing, reviewing, and updating engineering documentation and processes; producing and interpreting technical documents.
  • •Ability to obtain Public Trust (NACI clearance required).
  • •Valid drivers license and completion of required physical fitness evaluation (with stated weight restrictions).
