Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze supplier spend, capacity, and technical capabilities to develop negotiation/engagement strategies and implement cost control plans with suppliers.
  • •Develop and maintain the core supply base by evaluating commodity vendor gaps and monitoring performance across cost, quality, and delivery.
  • •Manage fulfillment and inventory health for work centers, aligning min/max/reorder points to the MRP demand plan and ensuring production readiness.
  • •Project-manage NPI/design change cut-ins, mitigate single-source risk, and serve as the supplier interface for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience, or bachelor’s with 5+ years, or 9+ years across areas such as engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, operations or supply chain management, and cost control.
  • •Technical procurement, manufacturing, and vendor management experience in aerospace/high-volume manufacturing, preferably with complex machined components or forgings.
  • •Experience driving technically driven cost reductions through negotiation and sourcing strategy.
  • •Experience in new product introduction (NPI) and mass production (MP), including the ability to read technical drawings, data sheets, and BOMs.
  • •Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite, SQL, and Access (or similar tools).
