Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop electrical layouts and engineering deliverables including equipment sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, earthing, lighting, and design basis reports.
  • •Design LV and ELV electrical systems and instrumentation/control for hazardous and non-hazardous areas; support switchyard and substation design.
  • •Create electrical schematics and diagrams (single line diagrams, starter schematics, PLC/loop/interconnecting diagrams, terminal block diagrams, general arrangement).
  • •Perform electrical system modeling (grounding, load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash) and protective relay setting development and coordination studies.
  • •Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and bid/proposal support; review vendor drawings and assist with factory acceptance testing while coordinating procurement requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • •10+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • •Experience in water treatment and wastewater treatment projects (considered an advantage).
  • •Knowledge of IEEE and IEC, and preferred knowledge of AU codes and standards.
  • •Preferred: membership in a professional body (e.g., CIWEM, ICE) and Chartered/equivalent; P. ENG added advantage.
