Job Summary

Support the site EHS team by helping implement environmental, health, and safety management systems and ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards. Assist ISO certification management, process safety documentation controls, environmental permit applications, and manage EHS training and incident-investigation follow-through. Help gather and track EHS KPIs (OSHA/environmental violations, incident rates, audit results) while supporting environmental programs and emergency response requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the location EHS team to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards, including assistance with ISO certification management, process safety documentation control, and timely issue completion.
•Provide support for location environmental programs, including asbestos O&M, risk management planning, emergency response, EPCRA, hazardous waste, waste/wastewater operations, chemical handling, SPCC, SW3P, air compliance/permits, and new chemical approval.
•Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management/Risk Management Plan requirements for the ammonia refrigeration system and environmental permits (wastewater, air, stormwater, and SPCC), and coordinate requirements under the Site Security Plan.
•Review and monitor incident investigation reports to completion, track and close action items, and participate in claim reviews as requested.
•Support training for production and management staff required by OSHA, environmental permits, and environmental/emergency response regulatory programs, and maintain EHS KPI tracking and reporting.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Company will consider a currently enrolled college student with an anticipated graduation by the end of the current school year.
•Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, set goals, and complete commitments on schedule.
•Comfort working long hours, weekends, and remaining on-call when required.
•Occasional travel to collaborate with others.
