Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the location EHS team to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards, including assistance with ISO certification management, process safety documentation control, and timely issue completion.
  • •Provide support for location environmental programs, including asbestos O&M, risk management planning, emergency response, EPCRA, hazardous waste, waste/wastewater operations, chemical handling, SPCC, SW3P, air compliance/permits, and new chemical approval.
  • •Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management/Risk Management Plan requirements for the ammonia refrigeration system and environmental permits (wastewater, air, stormwater, and SPCC), and coordinate requirements under the Site Security Plan.
  • •Review and monitor incident investigation reports to completion, track and close action items, and participate in claim reviews as requested.
  • •Support training for production and management staff required by OSHA, environmental permits, and environmental/emergency response regulatory programs, and maintain EHS KPI tracking and reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Company will consider a currently enrolled college student with an anticipated graduation by the end of the current school year.
  • •Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, set goals, and complete commitments on schedule.
  • •Comfort working long hours, weekends, and remaining on-call when required.
  • •Occasional travel to collaborate with others.
