Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, ship, and maintain secure, well-tested, high-performance external agent integrations across the GitLab monolith backend.
  • •Design, implement, and review GraphQL and REST APIs and related backend logic with clear contracts for frontend clients.
  • •Improve automated testing (including RSpec) to strengthen quality, reliability, and developer feedback loops.
  • •Collaborate with Product Management and engineering teams to refine requirements and deliver iterative improvements.
  • •Participate in Tier 2 on-call rotations by troubleshooting production issues, contributing to root cause analysis, and improving observability and resiliency.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience building and maintaining production applications with Ruby on Rails, including background jobs, APIs, and data models.
