Key Responsibilities

  • •Reviews, prepares and negotiates legal and transactional documents, and related internal governance approvals, for prospective reinsurance transactions.
  • •Provides transactional reinsurance related legal support and advice to business units and executive management on legal and regulatory issues impacting the Company’s operations and business.
  • •Researches and provides legal advice on legal and regulatory issues.
  • •Monitors, reviews and provides analyses of new federal and state legislation laws and regulations that affect AZRA, affiliates and the reinsurance industry.
  • •Advises the business on various matters, including interpretation and application of terms of agreements, corporate rules, and policies and corporate organizations documents.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 140,000

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor degree (JD) from an ABA accredited law school
  • •California State Bar license in good standing
  • •3-5 years of legal experience at a major law firm, specializing in reinsurance and/or financial transactions, with experience in corporate governance and insurance regulation preferred
  • •Excellent academic credentials and references
  • •Solid drafting skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup
