Job Summary

Lead the technical development and integration of an AUV maritime product from concept through delivery. Partner with program leadership, product teams, and third-party system vendors to tie requirements to customer inputs and maintain traceability to technical decisions. Own technical decisions and reliability performance, lead system trades and studies, and build/capitalize a new Maritime engineering team to support development and prototyping milestones (SRR/PDR/CDR).

•Lead the technical development and integration of a maritime product/AUV from initial concept through delivery.
•Support early architecture definition and scoping, including defining technical approach, key requirements, and prototype design.
•Build development timelines with milestones and staffing needs, and work with the product team to execute tactical development on plan.
•Own technical decisions and developments for the AUV; perform initial system trades and studies for key functions and payload capacity.
•Lead a new Maritime team for development and prototyping, supporting SRR/PDR/CDR, and drive root-cause corrective action and reliability performance.

Key Requirements

•Deep understanding of ocean-going craft, systems engineering, product development, and the engineering process.
•Experience in a senior role leading maritime programs from initial concept through test and delivery.
•Strong understanding of the rationale behind vehicle and systems design, including mission-critical DoD systems experience.
•Proven ability to deliver on open-ended problems using technical analysis and test/validation to progress through production design.
•Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software engineering (or equivalent experience) and eligibility to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
