Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the technical development and integration of a maritime product/AUV from initial concept through delivery.
  • •Support early architecture definition and scoping, including defining technical approach, key requirements, and prototype design.
  • •Build development timelines with milestones and staffing needs, and work with the product team to execute tactical development on plan.
  • •Own technical decisions and developments for the AUV; perform initial system trades and studies for key functions and payload capacity.
  • •Lead a new Maritime team for development and prototyping, supporting SRR/PDR/CDR, and drive root-cause corrective action and reliability performance.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep understanding of ocean-going craft, systems engineering, product development, and the engineering process.
  • •Experience in a senior role leading maritime programs from initial concept through test and delivery.
  • •Strong understanding of the rationale behind vehicle and systems design, including mission-critical DoD systems experience.
  • •Proven ability to deliver on open-ended problems using technical analysis and test/validation to progress through production design.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software engineering (or equivalent experience) and eligibility to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
