Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
  • •Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and make available informational financial materials for service members and families.
  • •Coordinate and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Support virtual counseling and manage DoD duty to warn situations according to protocol, while communicating with leadership and participating in supervision/training.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree required (may consider associate degree plus 4 years or high school diploma plus 6 years in lieu of a bachelor’s).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •If required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • •Must have an AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification and be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
