Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, maintain, and integrate autonomous vehicle control algorithms and software, including trajectory tracking, MPC, and vehicle state estimation.
  • •Contribute to vehicle dynamics/control efforts such as ACC/LK, urban driving, trajectory planning, vehicle operation limit estimation, and emergency maneuvers.
  • •Design and write new autonomous vehicle software modules from scratch and provide feedback on system architecture, failure modes, and redundancy.
  • •Build performance benchmarks for vehicle control (offline and online) and define tools to tune vehicle dynamics and manage calibration updates across vehicle types.
  • •Drive integration across platforms, troubleshoot control/actuation issues, and develop/maintain vehicle test suites and automated tests to prevent regressions.

Key Requirements

  • •BS, MS, or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • •8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • •Hands-on control knowledge (at least three): classical/modern/nonlinear control, MPC, optimal control, robust control, sliding mode control.
  • •State estimation experience (e.g., Luenberger observer, Kalman filter).
  • •Hands-on simulation-to-product implementation in Matlab/Simulink/Python and C/C++ for real-time embedded control systems (e.g., vehicle ECU).
