Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead design-driven cost strategy for server and storage structural cost targets from concept through planning.
  • •Bridge design and cost insights by delivering component-level and system-level cost analysis and DtV/DtC recommendations.
  • •Optimize through design intelligence by identifying design-driven cost reduction opportunities across product development and procurement.
  • •Guide design trade-off decisions across complexity, manufacturability, reliability, and cost to recommend optimal architectures.
  • •Ensure program alignment by maintaining cost analysis schedules and influencing product roadmaps with leadership on design-cost-performance trade-offs.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of progressive experience in product design engineering, hardware development, or cost/value engineering.
  • •5+ years in server or storage product design, including hands-on mechanical and/or electrical design of enterprise hardware systems.
  • •Strong knowledge of the product design lifecycle from concept development and prototyping through design validation and mass production.
  • •Demonstrated ability to translate design decisions into cost implications and vice versa.
  • •Proven ability to manage complex programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities, with strong influencing and communication skills.
