Job Summary

Provide high-level electrical engineering technical guidance for multi-site, due-diligence and permitting work across utility, transportation, and commercial projects. Lead and coordinate complex design deliverables for transmission and distribution substations, power distribution and regulation, protection and control systems, and emergency/standby power. Oversee calculations, plans, specs, and cost estimates, ensure compliance with applicable codes, and supervise cross-functional teams through design and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide staff specialist technical guidance and make independent decisions on complex engineering problems and methods.
•Coordinate, review, and approve electrical infrastructure design plans to ensure compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.
•Perform and review electrical engineering calculations (loads, equipment sizing, load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, selective coordination, and arc flash) and develop one-line and diagram deliverables.
•Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction safety/phasing plans, coordinating with owners, disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
•Oversee and monitor cross-functional teams through project delivery, including budgets, hours/expenses, technical deliverables, permit applications, and compliance documentation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
•10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience delivering design for capital power projects (generation, transmission, distribution) at utility, industrial, or commercial scale.
•Engineer license required.
•Strong expertise in electrical/infrastructure design and related planning, program/construction management, including adjacent disciplines such as SCADA and telecom.
•Strong knowledge of electrical construction laws, codes, and regulations (especially NFPA 70-NEC, NFPA 130, and NFPA 101) and compliance record-keeping.
