Job Summary

Lead engineering design for bulk material handling systems for Australia mining infrastructure projects, covering equipment and layouts such as conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders, stackers, transfer chutes, bins, and hoppers. Apply relevant codes and client standards, produce and review GA drawings and conveyor profiles, run design calculations, and support vendor technical evaluations, RFQs, and bid clarifications. Coordinate with vendors/OEMs and internal disciplines through design, procurement, and construction phases while embedding H&S and QC procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop bulk material handling systems and layouts for mining and industrial projects, including overland conveyors and plant conveying systems.
•Review and prepare GA drawings, conveyor profiles, equipment layouts, chute arrangements, and MTOs to meet project specifications and standards.
•Perform material handling design calculations (conveyor capacity, belt tension, power calculations, chute flow analysis, and equipment duty checks).
•Prepare technical specifications and datasheets, develop RFQs, and support technical evaluation of vendor offers and bid clarifications.
•Coordinate with vendors/OEMs and internal disciplines through basic and detailed engineering, procurement, and construction stages, including H&S, QC, and status updates.

Key Requirements

•13-16 years of experience in material handling engineering.
•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (preferred master’s degree).
•In-depth knowledge of bulk material handling systems including conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders, stackers, reclaimers, transfer chutes, bins, and hoppers.
•Strong understanding of material handling design codes and standards (e.g., CEMA, AS, DIN, ISO, IS) and relevant client specifications.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
