Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform traffic control and flagging as needed for work-zone sites.
  • •Place, move, dismantle, and maintain traffic-control devices such as signs, barricades, traffic cones, and warning equipment.
  • •Guide traffic safely through work areas while avoiding unreasonable delays to motorists.
  • •Assist the construction/paving crew with general labor tasks such as shoveling, raking, wheelbarrow duties, digging, spreading, and leveling materials.
  • •Signal operators and assist with alignment and movement of materials; help with placement and movement of traffic-control signage and devices.
