Job Summary

Drive a commercial motor vehicle to transport live poultry from growers to processing facilities or move poultry feed between growers and hatcheries. Follow DOT and company safety rules and regulations, complete and document pre-trip inspections, maintain secure loads, and keep accurate equipment/time/trip/weight records. Support trailer loading/unloading as needed, report maintenance issues, and perform routine cleaning of the truck in outdoor conditions.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive safely to transport live poultry or poultry feed between growers and processing facilities.
•Comply with all DOT regulations and all company policies, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
•Perform and document pre-trip inspections and ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
•Assist with loading and unloading trailers as necessary and ensure secure loads before movement.
•Maintain proper documentation and clean and wash the truck as necessary; report maintenance issues to a supervisor.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 21 years of age.
•Valid Class A CDL with 1 year verifiable satisfactory driving record.
•Knowledge of Department of Transportation, State, and Federal laws.
•Ability to read and write legibly.
•Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
