Job Summary

Lead the end-to-end development of assigned footwear articles from concept brief through production readiness. Partner with footwear technicians, material experts, product management, design, and suppliers to drive product integrity, engineering quality, and on-time delivery. Collaborate with suppliers on construction methods and manufacturing processes, analyze designs for manufacturability, manage cost targets and FOB quotes, ensure testing against quality standards, update development data, and mentor junior team members while achieving KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

•Take accountability for the entire development management process for assigned articles, ensuring product integrity, engineering, and on-time completion.
•Partner with footwear suppliers to develop new construction methods and manufacturing processes for performance footwear.
•Analyze designs to deliver technical solutions for manufacturability, production, and material properties aligned with function and market appeal.
•Engineer products to cost targets, secure initial FOB cost quotes, and manage follow-up price adjustments.
•Ensure materials, processes, prototypes, and development samples are fully tested to meet adidas quality standards and keep development data up to date.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•University degree in manufacturing, engineering, biomechanics, sports science, or business (or a technical degree as a footwear technician).
•At least 2 years of relevant work experience in footwear product development.
•Strong knowledge of the footwear creation process from concept brief to shelf, including last, pattern, construction, tooling, and testing.
•Strong ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously according to business priorities.
•English language proficiency required.
