Key Responsibilities

  • •Create and update production-ready 3D CAD models and assemblies for quadcopter components in SolidWorks.
  • •Handle electromechanical packaging by fitting PCBs, sensors, actuators, and wire harnesses into compact airframes.
  • •Operate 3D printers and bench-test setups to validate and stress-test designs before flight.
  • •Produce 2D manufacturing drawings with tolerances and generate BOMs for CNC, 3D printing, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication.
  • •Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Aerodynamics, Industrialisation, and Supply Chain to resolve packaging bottlenecks.

Key Requirements

  • •M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace (or similar) (FH/HES/University of Applied Sciences).
  • •0–3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, robotics, or electromechanical hardware.
  • •Fast, clean CAD modeling skills in SolidWorks with strong parametric assembly design knowledge.
  • •Practical understanding of DFM constraints (tolerances, draft angles, tool access) for CNC, 3D printing, and plastic enclosures.
  • •High ownership and responsiveness with a proactive mindset to unblock yourself under tight deadlines.
