Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect, implement, and manage WAAP platforms including WAF, API security, bot management, and L3–L7 DDoS protection.
  • •Design and deploy WAAP solutions using Thales Imperva and cloud-native WAFs (Azure, AWS WAF) or equivalents.
  • •Develop and maintain custom WAF rules, security policies, and signatures; perform false-positive tuning and policy optimization.
  • •Enable API discovery, schema enforcement, and protection against OWASP API Top 10 threats; integrate WAAP with SIEM/SOAR, identity providers, and threat intelligence feeds.
  • •Lead WAAP incident response and root cause analysis, define WAAP security metrics/KPIs, and ensure compliance with CIS, NIST, Zero Trust, and data protection standards.

Key Requirements

  • •6-10 years of experience in network/application-layer security with WAAP focus.
  • •Strong experience with WAAP platforms (Akamai preferred; cloud WAF or equivalent accepted).
  • •Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 (web and API) and application-layer threat mitigation.
  • •Hands-on experience creating, tuning, and maintaining WAF policies, security rules, and signatures; including OWASP API Top 10 protections.
  • •Experience with firewall and security infrastructure (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper) and supporting components like IDS/IPS, VPN, and SIEM.
