Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the long-term strategy for DigitalOcean’s global data center portfolio across the full asset lifecycle (expansion, refresh, optimization, decommissioning).
  • •Build and execute data center decommissioning strategy, including timelines, cost management, and risk mitigation.
  • •Manage decommissioning of legacy hardware within data centers, coordinating across Operations, Security, and Finance.
  • •Partner with Finance and Business Planning to align portfolio decisions with capital priorities and investment return.
  • •Evaluate technology refresh cycles and recommend optimal timing for infrastructure upgrades, informing market expansion or consolidation decisions.

Key Requirements
