Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and maintain the functional architecture of the Storm engine and ensure correct subsystem integration to meet mission requirements.
  • •Perform architecture trade-off studies, sensitivity analyses, risk assessments, and support component selection and make-or-buy decisions.
  • •Contribute to evaluation and optimization of engine architecture and operating conditions.
  • •Develop and maintain functional performance models of the propulsion system using simulation frameworks and scripting.
  • •Support FMEA, define demonstrator architectures and operating conditions, and validate anchored system models using test data.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or a bachelor’s with substantial relevant experience).
  • •2+ years of proven experience working with cryogenic propulsion systems.
  • •Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
  • •Basic knowledge of aerospace standards (e.g., ECSS, NASA guidelines).
  • •Experience with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., EcosimPro) and/or writing scripts in Python; hands-on hardware development is a plus.
