Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver quality obstetrics nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
  • •Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
  • •Facilitate a positive client experience by creating a conducive environment.
  • •Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
  • •Create a learning environment that builds staff competence and ensure stock/equipment are accurately charted.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse or a 4-year Nursing Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing.
  • •Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Midwifery (desired).
  • •Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialised wards).
  • •Computer literate in Microsoft Office and able to maintain accurate nursing records.
  • •Knowledge of infection prevention and control, risk identification, relevant nursing legislation, and nursing processes/procedures.
