Job Summary

Lead end-to-end design and delivery of resilient, cloud-native data platforms and microservices, setting technical direction and modernizing legacy systems. Partner closely with engineers through hands-on Java development to unblock teams and improve engineering quality. Own solution architecture, engineering standards, CI/CD and operational readiness on GCP, ensuring monitoring, reliability, data quality, lineage, integrity, and security. Mentor engineers and translate business outcomes into delivery plans.

Key Responsibilities

•Own solution architecture for high-performance data pipelines and microservices, covering resilience, scalability, latency, observability, and security.
•Define and drive modernization roadmaps (re-platform, refactor, microservices decomposition) with minimal disruption to live services.
•Establish engineering standards for API design, event-driven integration, data modelling, testing strategy, CI/CD, and operational readiness.
•Architect, design, and build core services using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, PostgreSQL/RDBMS, and event streaming patterns; lead real-time processing with Apache Flink/Beam.
•Drive GCP delivery and operational excellence (monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, reliability improvements, cost optimization) and mentor engineers.

Key Requirements

•15+ years in software engineering designing and delivering distributed systems and data-intensive applications.
•Strong hands-on Java experience with Spring Boot, REST/event-driven services, ORM (JPA/Hibernate), and SQL performance tuning.
•Proven system design skills including microservices patterns, async messaging, idempotency, consistency models, caching, rate limiting, and failure handling.
•Solid experience delivering cloud-native solutions, preferably GCP.
•Strong troubleshooting across applications, data, infrastructure, and performance; clear communication aligning architecture decisions with business priorities.
