Key Responsibilities

  • •Gain knowledge of general agronomy skills such as scouting, crop protection, crop nutrient products, seed, custom application procedures, mixing procedures, truck driving, and delivering product.
  • •Perform all agronomy/seed operations.
  • •Monitor and maintain quality of inventory.
  • •Assist with repairs and preventative maintenance for agronomy equipment, including legs, conveyors, towers, vehicles, sprayers, floaters, and trucks.
  • •Work in and maintain an environment compliant with state, local, and CHS Environmental and Safety policy while assisting customers as needed.

  • •Currently enrolled in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or other agriculture-related degree program.
  • •Learn and assist with grain origination, including procuring grain from local producers and calling on new accounts.
  • •Assist with reporting and typing purchasing contracts quickly and accurately.
  • •Assist Grain Originator with rail billing and grain sales settlements as needed.
  • •Provide excellent customer service and work well with patrons in a courteous and professional manner.
