Key Responsibilities

  • •With minimal assistance, collect, compile, and analyze field and subsurface data (soil/rock samples, surveys, GIS, maps, and geotechnical information) for project development, design, and construction.
  • •Perform professional geotechnical engineering work for site conditions, including subsurface investigations, foundation engineering, settlement analysis, erosion, groundwater, and slope stability to meet applicable rules and permits.
  • •Maintain quality control standards for accurate measurements and engineering analyses, and generate clear technical reports, documentation, and visualizations.
  • •Support incorporation of advanced modeling, concept development, and design requirements to address safety, functionality, and future-ready geotechnical solutions.
  • •Coordinate with cross-functional teams, provide technical guidance to junior staff, assist with HASPs, and interact confidently with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or closely related discipline).
  • •Minimum 7 years of relevant post-education engineering experience with geotechnical design.
  • •Professional Engineer license in Arizona, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • •Strong geotechnical design knowledge (foundations, slope stability, earthquake engineering, earth retention, ground improvement, support of excavation/dewatering, and related permitting work).
  • •Ability to coordinate with agency regulators and understand code/regulatory requirements and record-keeping.
