Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the team, guide implementation of the response plan, and set standards and norms during deployments.
  • •Develop and disseminate technical guidance, validate training, and manage resource mobilization and communications materials.
  • •Under the Incident Manager, manage coverage of all health operations supporting the Ministry of Health, working with partners to implement prevention, control, and response measures.
  • •Lead communicable disease programme planning, monitoring outbreak prevention/detection/verification/assessment/investigation, and conduct periodic reporting and treatment activities.
  • •Support health service delivery by equipping facilities, monitoring quality of care, building local staff capacity, and providing technical assistance on vaccination, surveillance, vector control, infection control, sanitation, and supplies.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced university degree (Master's level or above) in medicine, public health, epidemiology, or related field.
  • •At least seven years of related experience in health operations at national and international levels, including managing outbreaks and health emergencies in low and middle income countries.
  • •Proven experience in managing human and financial resources.
  • •Demonstrated skills in rapid response operations and the ability to identify and manage difficult situations.
  • •Expert knowledge of English (working knowledge of Arabic is desirable).
