Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide on-site maintenance, grounds keeping, and repairs for critical infrastructure during normal business hours.
  • •Troubleshoot and perform tests when standard procedures and precedents are not available to determine necessary actions.
  • •Operate and maintain facility heating systems, including hot-water boilers, steam boilers, associated water-treatment systems, circulating pumps, and control systems.
  • •Operate and maintain air-conditioning systems, including chillers, cooling towers, circulating pumps, and control systems; disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble equipment for service.
  • •Support laboratory infrastructure by operating laboratory systems and maintaining air-pressure control, waste-water treatment, biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, autoclaves, and laboratory utilities (hot/cold/deionized water, compressed air, natural gas).

Key Requirements

  • •Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • •High School Diploma.
  • •2+ years of training or experience with AC/heat systems, lab maintenance, and general maintenance.
  • •Valid driver’s license for local travel with a good driving record.
  • •Able to meet physical demands, including lifting equipment/supplies over 50 pounds and working outdoors in all seasons.
