Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and grow data science and AI teams to build and scale semantic and contextual foundations for SAP’s AI agents.
  • •Define AI/ML architecture, platform strategy, and governance (including responsible AI practices and operational frameworks) for enterprise deployments.
  • •Drive delivery of large-scale AI programs across multiple teams and business units while partnering with senior executives on AI strategy and investment priorities.
  • •Design and scale ontology-driven enterprise intelligence solutions, including knowledge graphs and semantic layers integrated with ML and generative/agentic AI architectures.
  • •Collaborate with domain experts and business stakeholders to translate business processes and data assets into reusable semantic and knowledge graph frameworks.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years leading, mentoring, and growing high-performing teams of data scientists, ML engineers, and AI practitioners; delivering complex AI from concept to production across stakeholders.
  • •Ability to define technical strategy, set team priorities, and align AI investments with business objectives, product roadmaps, and customer outcomes.
  • •5+ years of people management experience leading data science and AI teams, including hiring, coaching, and retaining AI talent.
  • •Strong expertise in ontology engineering, semantic technologies, metadata management, entity resolution, taxonomies, and knowledge representation for enterprise intelligence.
  • •Experience with SAP’s data and AI platform stack (e.g., SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud Knowledge Graph Engine, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP One Domain Model, SAP Graph API, SAP Business Accelerator Hub).
