Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform alterations and adjustments to uniforms and issued garments.
  • •Hem trousers and sleeves; adjust waistlines; repair seams, zippers, buttons, and other components.
  • •Take accurate measurements and mark garments for proper fit; ensure compliance with appearance standards.
  • •Operate industrial and standard sewing machines safely and efficiently.
  • •Maintain records of alterations and assist with garment issue/turn-in processes when necessary while keeping the workspace clean and following policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Previous tailoring or sewing experience preferred.
  • •Knowledge of garment construction and alteration techniques.
  • •Ability to operate sewing equipment (industrial machines preferred).
  • •Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • •Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening; obtain and maintain a CAC; REAL ID-compliant, state-issued driver’s license required.
