Key Responsibilities

  • •Own sections of the flight stack end-to-end, from device drivers and middleware integration through control law implementation, test automation, and flight validation.
  • •Design and implement vehicle control systems and integrate guidance and control algorithms into the flight software stack.
  • •Develop embedded software for pre-emptible Linux or RTOS applications and integrate new sensors and features into aircraft software.
  • •Create Software-In-The-Loop (SITL) and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) test fixtures and automation, then analyze flight test results to iterate quickly.
  • •Lead technical design reviews and mentor junior engineers while supporting manufacturing debugging and operational aircraft deployments/field troubleshooting.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of C++ or Rust programming experience.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • •Direct experience with embedded software or other safety-critical systems.
  • •Background in low-level embedded software architecture, design, and development.
  • •Familiarity with communications buses and protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, QSPI, I2C, and Ethernet.
