  • •Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to prioritize roadmap work tied to payments and billing outcomes.
  • •Guide teams through complex technical tradeoffs involving reliability, maintainability, risk, and delivery speed.
  • •Develop and mentor engineers through 1:1s, feedback, coaching, and performance conversations.
  • •Ensure the team produces well-tested, maintainable, and performant code while improving reliability and scalability; recruit as the team scales.

Key Requirements

  • •2–3+ years leading engineering teams as an Engineering Manager or technical people leader.
  • •Experience managing SaaS web application engineering teams.
  • •Meaningful payments, billing, subscription platforms, fintech, or similarly high-stakes domain experience.
  • •Hands-on experience with payment processing or billing platforms such as Stripe, Recurly, Chargify, or similar.
  • •Strong Ruby on Rails background (preferred), with React or comparable web application frameworks helpful.
