Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver comprehensive telemedicine care for diabetes, related metabolic disorders, and acute/chronic conditions through virtual assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • •Perform comprehensive clinical evaluations, including history taking, virtual physical assessment, medication review, diabetes risk assessment, and interpretation of labs/diagnostics.
  • •Develop and implement individualized evidence-based management plans (glycemic optimization, medication management, lifestyle modification, preventive care, and referrals when needed).
  • •Maintain accurate telehealth documentation, comply with medical regulations and telehealth quality standards, and ensure patient safety across interactions.
  • •Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., endocrinologists, dietitians, diabetes educators, pharmacists, primary care providers) and participate in quality improvement, audits, and ongoing professional development.

Key Requirements

  • •Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
  • •Residency training in Family Medicine from an accredited program.
  • •Board certification in Family Medicine and fellowship certification in Diabetology.
  • •Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as Family Medicine–Diabetology Consultant.
  • •Proven experience as a Family Medicine Diabetology Consultant, with proficiency using EMR and telemedicine platforms.
