Key Responsibilities

•Operate heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently to prepare, grade, and pave asphalt.
•Ensure excavation safety by maintaining proper slopes and barricading; locate utilities and buried lines before digging.
•Perform minor servicing and maintenance, and keep machines cleaned and maintained; refer major issues to the supervisor.
•Keep time and material records and support aggregate-related knowledge for production operations.
•Assist labor crews with shoveling, raking, and compacting asphalt materials; travel to and from various locations as needed.

Key Requirements

•3–6 years of heavy civil construction experience including grading, excavation, underground utilities, site work, and related scopes.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
•Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, site specifications, simple instructions, and memos.
•Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
•Safety-minded performance with ability to follow OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and company/state rules; able to work independently.
