Job Summary

Enhance and maintain the facility’s electrical control systems by driving automation solutions from setup and programming through ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting. Collaborate with the automation team to evolve the plant’s technology roadmap, secure and back up automation infrastructure, and resolve electrical, PLC, touchscreen, and control-network issues. Support process improvements, provide training and documentation, and ensure GMP and regulatory compliance for safe, reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Adhere to safety best practices, conduct monthly safety audits, and maintain rigorous GMP and food safety standards while identifying and mitigating risks.
•Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues by reading schematics and manuals, resolving PLC and touchscreen problems, diagnosing control networking issues, and coordinating with IT on servers.
•Drive automation process improvements and support projects by partnering with management and engineering teams with technical insights.
•Create user manuals and training materials, mentor maintenance technicians, and maintain electrical/automation documentation with backups of key files.
•Provide technical leadership and communicate issue/project status with management, vendors, peers, and production personnel.

Key Requirements

•An associate's degree from an accredited college or technical school plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
•Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical procedures, and procedure manuals in English.
•Ability to write routine reports, procedural manuals, and correspondence in English.
•Experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell automation.
•Ability to troubleshoot root causes using tools such as a multimeter, PC, and software; also comfortable working weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
