Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead development of high-fidelity plant models for complex electromechanical systems using Dymola, TwinBuilder, Amesim, Modelica-based tools, Simulink, and Simscape (or equivalent).
  • •Develop multi-scale, multi-domain models spanning component through system behavior across electrical, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls-coupled domains.
  • •Translate abstract methods, first-principles equations, and reduced-order formulations into validated, reusable simulation models; create custom model/library development for unique physics and interfaces.
  • •Build supporting engineering applications, scripts, utilities, and automation workflows to improve model usability, execution speed, and integration into development processes.
  • •Perform simulation model verification, validation, calibration, sensitivity analysis, and performance optimization using simulation and test data; provide documentation and technical leadership/mentoring.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Controls Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • •10+ years of relevant experience in plant modeling, model-based design, physical system simulation, or engineering application development.
  • •Strong hands-on experience with plant modeling tools such as Dymola, TwinBuilder, Amesim, Modelica-based tools, Simulink, or Simscape.
  • •Demonstrated expertise in multi-scale, multi-domain physics-based simulation and translating first-principles into executable, validated models.
  • •Experience building custom model development, libraries, or frameworks, plus simulation workflow automation and interfacing with external environments (co-simulation/runtime execution).
