Job Summary

Underwrite difficult SBA loan requests and renewals across working capital lines, commercial real estate, term loans, and asset-based products. Review SBA eligibility, loan structure, financial spreads, entity and collateral details, and market data to assess risk and prepare recommendations and approval materials. Partner with lending officers on complex credit matters, perform pre-qualification analyses, and gather information for loan committee decisions, with opportunities to mentor junior analysts.

Key Responsibilities

•Underwrite SBA eligibility and assess inherent risks for loan structures and renewals across multiple commercial lending product types.
•Conduct complex financial statement analyses involving interlocking relationships and determine customer credit information and references as needed.
•Perform pre-qualification assessments of financial condition and risk within the bank’s credit culture and current economic and industry trends.
•Gather and analyze information to present financing requests for approval, including preparing loan presentations and meeting with customers and touring loan sites.
•Mentor junior analysts on financial analysis, loan structure, appropriate covenant conditions, and credit risk mitigation.
