Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction and heavy equipment, and customer assets. Work across varied installation scenarios from basic electrical/ignition work to more complex wiring harness integrations involving CAN network access. Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction and heavy equipment, and customer assets.
•Operate machinery at times during installation for testing purposes.
•Remove and replace ignition systems (without custom keypad/controller) and integrate communication between keypad and telematics systems.
•Work through installation scenarios from basic power/ignition/ground to complex custom wiring harness work for CAN network access.
•Identify and resolve problems, gather/analyze information, develop alternative solutions, and travel to client sites or rental yards as needed.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certificate preferred).
•Mechanical aptitude with experience working with tools; hard-working and eager to learn.
•Experience in a related field such as electrician, HVAC technician, or car audio installer (prior telematics experience not required).
•Own tools (a few specialty tools will be provided) and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
•Clean driving record, ability to pass a background check, and ability to travel within a 250 mile radius for up to a week at a time.
