Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise clients on strategies and manage prequalification of vendors, bid evaluation, bid levelling, and final recommendations.
  • •Manage project estimating, including developing estimates, reviewing junior estimations, presenting estimates, and providing value engineering and risk assessments.
  • •Establish and manage cost reporting schedules, review and present cost reports and forecasts, and maintain a commercial risk register.
  • •Manage cost control by reviewing payment application assessments, recommending contractor entitlements, handling change orders, and supporting dispute prevention/management/resolution.
  • •Oversee invoicing, final accounting and post-contract audits, and run post-contract reviews to create lesson-learned documentation and handover procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •Minimum 3-5 years of relevant cost management experience in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects.
  • •Strong communication skills and good knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
