Job Summary

Drive physical implementation for next-generation AMD IP used in future microprocessors across servers, PCs, graphics cards, and VR systems. Work on high-speed (>2G) designs with complex I/O clocking, owning the physical design flow from synthesis through floorplan, placement, CTS, routing, and STA closure. Collaborate with RTL physical design teams to achieve strong PPA and shorten development schedules, including building reference floorplans and automation scripts.

Key Responsibilities

•Own physical implementation of next-generation IPs across synthesis, floorplan, placement, CTS, routing, and STA closure for high-speed designs.
•Work on complex I/O clocking and timing closure/CDC/LINT/DFx for very high speed (>2G) designs.
•Develop reference floorplans and create/update implementation scripts for SoCs worldwide.
•Collaborate with physical design engineers, RTL design engineers, and NBIO IP team managers to improve results.
•Support SoCs worldwide to achieve physical implementation with best PPA.

Key Requirements

•Drive physical implementation for next-generation IPs through the physical design flow, achieving best PPA while shortening development schedules.
•Experience with synthesis, floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and post-route timing closure for high-speed (>=2GHz) designs.
•Strong STA and ability to work with the physical design flow using scripting in TCL and Python.
•Experience with high-speed I/O protocols including PCIe, UCIe, UALink, and Infinity Fabric link-layer.
•Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering (Fusion Compiler experience is preferred).
