  • •Independently perform construction inspection for a three-span bridge within an active surface mining facility.
  • •Monitor contractor operations to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, contract documents, and quality standards.
  • •Document issues and resolutions; prepare daily inspection reports, photographs, quantity documentation, and project records.
  • •Verify materials/workmanship and observe bridge activities including concrete placement, reinforcing steel, structural steel erection, foundations, and drainage structures.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS plus 4 years of relevant bridge, structural, or heavy civil construction inspection experience, or demonstrated equivalency.
  • •Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • •Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • •Current MSHA Part 48 Surface Metal/Nonmetal Miner Training certification or ability to obtain it prior to starting.
  • •Knowledge of bridge construction methods (reinforced concrete, structural steel, deep foundations, drainage structures, earthwork) and inspection certifications such as ACI NICET (preferred).
