Key Responsibilities

  • •Represent the school’s ethos through inspiring teaching that supports academic success and lifelong learning.
  • •Plan, deliver, and document lessons and learning opportunities while taking full account of students’ individual educational needs.
  • •Assess, record, and report on students’ progress and attainment, providing regular feedback and guidance to support next steps.
  • •Maintain safeguarding-focused classroom and school practices, including promoting safe learning environments and fair disciplinary practices.
  • •Communicate professionally with parents about attainment and progress and contribute to department discussions, after-school activities, and curriculum development.

Key Requirements

  • •Proof of relevant qualifications and completion of required background checks, including identification and police checks (including overseas checks).
  • •Deep understanding of students’ individual learning needs and ability to plan lessons that address learning styles, preferences, and capabilities.
  • •Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogic skills to engage and motivate students to exceed expectations.
  • •Strong classroom practice, including fair and consistent disciplinary practices and protecting students from abuse (including bullying and corporal punishment).
  • •Ability to use ICT and new technologies to enhance teaching and learning and to maintain professional relationships and confidentiality with parents and stakeholders.
