Job Summary

Install and configure audio-visual systems for client projects, including cable pulls and terminations, rack fabrication and wiring, and equipment layout. Lead and oversee Level 1 technicians on less complex jobs, read schematics/blueprints, troubleshoot low-voltage and network-integrated AV systems, and verify functionality. Serve as the on-site customer liaison, coordinate with other trades, manage jobsite tools/equipment, and report daily progress to the project manager while meeting safety and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks for contracted AV projects, including cable pulls/terminations, equipment/component installation, and rack fabrication and wiring.
•Lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects by coordinating with the project manager and reporting progress to meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction targets.
•Read and interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints, and conduct point-to-point cabling testing and functionality checks.
•Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with AV equipment and systems, and demonstrate client training based on project scope.
•Act as on-site customer liaison, coordinate change requests with the project manager, manage tools/equipment on jobsite, and communicate daily jobsite status.

Key Requirements

•2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience and the ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
•Intermediate proficiency installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) including conduit runs, cable trays, and wiring methods.
•Intermediate knowledge of audio-visual systems (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, and control systems).
•Intermediate understanding of network infrastructure and how it integrates with audiovisual systems (IP-based systems, streaming, and cloud-based services).
•Minimum high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
